( before SEPTA). His legacy was work hard, get educated, serve your country. I learned the lessons my parents taught me. Now I am in the odd position of not being able to contribute a dime toward my own child's college tuition. I mean I could have gotten a GED and a drivers license at 16; forgone all the student loans I was paying off until I was 37 years old and drove a bus? Enlightening. BTW the cost of feeding clothing and sheltering 60,000 troops in Central Asia is beyond comprehension yet we are being told by state federal and city officials that there are no funds without our givebacks....
